I think a cute gift would be an ABC baby blanket, an ABC play mat, or an ABC bib. Any of these would be very appropriate. I would check for early childhood shops in your area.

I think of giving alphabet building blocks but a lot of people might think of that. Another idea is to go through the baby department of a store and pick out things beginning with certain letters. Mark these items with a beautiful paper letter printed off your computer. Or pick one letter and get gifts that start with that letter.
