A flea market is a name for what is generally an open air marketplace of various vendors. Typically the vendors will sell their goods for lower than retail prices. This attracts a variety of both vendors as well as customers who are looking for outstanding deals. Flea markets are typically held on the weekend.

It can be indoors or outdoors with vendors at separate booths or tables. Antiques and used items are sold. Items that people collect, like comic books and cards, are sold there. Bartering is allowed. Valuable items can often be found amidst the "junk".
