What is a fix for red hair color that has too much red?

I died my hair red and now it is too red.

depending on the look that you are going for you can do a good old fashioned soap cap(mixture of shampoo, conditioner, and bleach) to lift some warmth slowy out of the shaft... either way you do ityour gonna have to use bleach and next time use a neutral color to cancel out the red

Sounds like you need a toner. Go to your hair dresser and have them put a toner on your hair. This will tone down some of the redness and brassiness in your hair causing it to appear too red.

Go to a salon and have a professional stylist help fix the color. If you want to try it yourself, you can go a darker color or bleach your hair. If you just want to lighten it a little try clarifying your hair. This can lead to pink hair though.

Remove some of the excess dye by washing your hair with a strong detergent based soap, then apply neutral/ash toned semi-permanent coloring to tone down the unwanted redness.
