Each state has a list of crimes that are "Class X" felonies. They are extremely serious crimes like aggravated kidnapping, aggravated battery, armed robbery, home invasion, armed violence, heinous battery, battery against a child, Contributing to the criminal delinquency of a juvenile and a host of other equally serious matters.

A class X felony is the most extreme level of a felony crime but may be state specific usually general examples might include such crimes as murder with a deadly weapon, a financial crime over 100,000. 00, highler level drug dealing, repeat offenders of domestic violence, burglary, rape or drunk driving.

This type of felony is not eligible for parole, and must serve the full sentence. If convicted twice for same Class X felony, the sentence will automatically double.
