The vote is then submitted to the US House of Representatives where the house votes on who will become the president.

If the Electoral College vote for President is tied, the House of Representatives decides the election; they select from among the three candidates with the most electoral votes. Each state's House delegation has one vote in this process. The Vice-President is selected by the Senate from the two leading candidates.
