Planetariums are display areas that feature the sky in some way. Usually you'll sit in a comfortable reclined chair and look at a display representing stars and planets on the ceiling. It's pretty cool.

At a planetarium visitors are taken to a circular shaped room, and sit on reclining chairs, which sit on a rotating platform. The reclining chairs allow them to view the ceiling where stars, planets, etc are projected, and the rotating platform allows them to be view different angles.
