As the name says, the Pax World Fund is an investment fund, a mutual fund to be more exact. Doesn't have anything to do with charities. As any investment, as long as you put money in it you get back a certain interest.

The Pax World Fund is an investment fund, specifically a mutual fund. Interest is paid to the investors who put into the fund. It's not a charity, business, or group people donate to and then the money is distributed to needy people. It's merely the name for an investment company.
