Leviticus basically says that any woman is "unclean" during menstruation and anyone that touches her or sits where she sits is also unclean, for seven days. Anyone having sex during it is to be cut off from the tribe.

Leviticus 15:19 - 30 said this about menstruation: When a woman is menstruation, she in unclean, anything she touches or sits on is unclean. If she sleeps with a man, he is unclean for 7 days, and any bed he lies on is unclean.

The book of Leviticus tells us that a woman is impure during this time and describes it as lasting seven days. During these seven days, the woman is unclean, anything she touches is unclean, and anyone she lies with becomes unclean.
