What does "priority" mean in the postal business?

It seems to me that the post office doesn't treat any mail as a priority.

Priority is the lowest class to send mail. That is the one that takes 3 to 5 days. Express is quicker than that, and overnight is for next day delivery. They want to make it sound like all the mail that you send or receive they care about and everything is priority. It is just to make customers feel better.

Priority is a type of mail where the post office provides the box. The content has to fit in the size box they provide and send for a certain cost. The box will arrive to it's destination in three days. I have used priority mail many times and it usually gets to where it's going in time.
