Palpitations can make someones heart beat, stop beating, then start beating again. This happens because there is a disruption in the hearts natural rhythm. Usually this is nothing to worry about, but if the person starts feeling dizzy, chest pains, or faints then it is time to see a doctor.

I've had this happen to me this weekend. It wouldn't happen when I was up walking, only when resting or lying down. I had gone to the doctor about this before and he drew some blood and said my magnesium levels were low. He gave me a prescription for magnesium.

I went through a period in my life where I had this condition. It was diagnosed as arrhythmia. I think a large majority of the time there is nothing really wrong with the heart and apparently this condition can be caused by stress. I practiced relaxation techniques and the condition went away fairly quickly.

Only a cardiologist with proper testing can determine the cause and prescence of heart disease. Medications, electrolyte imbalances, heart disease such as heart blockage, are some of the causes.

It's called an arrhythmia, and it means the nerved that control the beat of the heart are misfiring, causing the regular beat to change. It has a range of causes most mild, but some serious, a physician need to be involved to me certain.

It could mean that your heart is not functioning properly or that blood is not being delivered to your heart on time by the nerve.

This happens when the vales open to fast or to slow. It could also be a double heart beat which makes it look like your heart stopped or skiped a beat which is called pvc's Premature ventricular contraction. Talk to your doctor to ease your mind and make sure everything is ok.

When there is heart beating with a pause, then this is a sure case of some ailment related to the blood canals which may lead to the heart problem. It is better to consult some good doctor.

You need to have a doctor look at you to find out. You really need to see your doctor about it, because that is serious. That I don't think is normal.
