Herpes looks like a red inflamed area with small bumps that look like acne on it. It can be present in the genital area, thus genital herpes, or on places such as the eyes or mouth. Be sure to pay close attention since herpes is a common STD and most people who have it don't know it.

I assume you mean genital herpes. During an eruption or flare, it looks like an open pimple. However, it is important to know that a person can contract herpes even when it's in remission and not visible. The safe thing is to always have your sexual partner use a condom.

Herpes normally appear as small to medium sized blisters that are red and filled with liquid. Some people have it but do not show symptoms.

It's not so easy to spot a herpes, as it looks like a plain cut, or even a zit. Sometimes can be like a red rash.
