Elevated thyroid levels can be serious. It can make you get a goiter in your throat area and can also make you gain an excessive amount of weight. Goiters can make your throat feel tight so you feel as if you are choking. It can also make you feel light headed and feel flush or have hot, clammy spells.

Not necessarily, most thyroid problems can be corrected with proper diet and medication. I would recommend going in to see your doctor and having your thyroid levels drawn. At that time you and your doctor can discuss proper treatment.

The thyroid controls metabolism. Low thyroid leads to sluggishness and weight-gain High thyroid can lead to the opposite, racing energy levels and weight-loss. A doctor can help evaluate your situation.

Your thyroid gland is hyperactive. You may need to wait awhile and have tests repeated. You may also have a scan. If the cause is nodules on your thyroid, it may require surgery.
