Fluid containers are usually rectangular with rounded corners, a screw cap and aerator pipe, and made to safely transport various, often volatile liquids like gas. It's required for safety purposes.

Usually just what the fluid originally came in. I think the most important thing is the way the fluid container is packaged,not necessarily the actual container. Use lots and lots of padding and ship in a box marked with the correct handling instructions, such as fragile, this will ensure there isn't too much banging around during transportation.
