As much as you may love your grandfather this child will grow up to be a very screwed up person if you let this go on. Notify the police.

If possible, you should remove the child and prevent any further contact. Next, contact the local police department and make a formal complaint so that the police can then begin the process of collecting evidence. The child should be taken to a phychologist for an examination into the nature and extent of the abuse he or she has suffered.

I would seek a professional to interview the child,Hospitals are good. Then take the necessary legal steps. One is to call the abuse department at the local police station.

Go to a doctor for a physical evaluation of whether or not abuse took place and create a medical report of the harm that occurred. Then use that report to report him to the police. It is essential to both prove the abuse took place and that you yourself are not responsible.

Your first step is to report the issue to law enforcement for them to investigate. If the child is not yours, reporting to the local child protective services helps as well. Do not take action in your own hands. Doing so could get you arrested instead. Also, try to remove the child from the environment as quickly as possible.
