What do you do to get rid of all the adware on a PC?

I would appreciate it if you could give me instructions or tell me what to buy.

You can probably get rid of it with free programs unless it's a horribly bad infection. Look for LavaSoft Ad-Aware, which has become the big name adware remover. Also look for Spybot S&D (Search & Destroy) which I've used in combination with Ad-Aware before. Update the definition files (should do this automatically) and run full scans with both.

No one program will get rid of everything. your best bet is download Avast free edition and Malwarebytes. Run a full scan with both. Delete what it finds.

There are several free applications you can download from the internet that can help you remove adware, they're easy to install and run. If you pay a little more you can get an upgrade of those same programs. Most of the commercial antivirus software will include adware and spyware removal.

To get rid of adware, download spybot search and destroy from safer networking and then download malware bytes and run the trial on that one. Those are the best two programs for deleting your adware. Good luck!

Really you don't have to buy anything. There are a lot of good freeware programs that will do this for you. Something like Spybot Search and Destroy and AdAware should work good. I recommend AdAware since it can prevent future problems when used with a good anti-virus.
