If bankruptcy is denied, the reasons will be made clear to you. If an attorney assists you and file the bankruptcy, s/he too should be surprised by a denial and therefore be able to explain the denial to you. He will then also be able to spell out your options.

Try and sell your property or make some financial arrangements with the lender. If all else fails start making small payments and see if that works.

If your bankruptcy has been denied you need to look into State remedies in the state where you live. Often states have more liberal remedies then the Federal Bankruptcy Code allows. You also might want to contact a reputable credit counseling service to help you attempt to negotiate with the creditors.

If bankruptcy is denied, you have an alternative to file a different type of bankruptcy. You need to consult with your attorney to find the reason that it was denied. If you have the means to pay your debts, then oft times you will not be able to file for bankruptcy.

Find out why your bankruptcy was denied. It may be because paper work was not filed correctly on your end or on your creditors end. You may have been required to take credit counseling before applying for bankruptcy. After a waiting period you can refile your bankruptcy case making sure to do things properly this time.
