Depending on what you are going to fill it with, but a lot of people will fill it with just dirt (so you will need a lot of that). In addition, a garbage bin, as the liner is extremely large. Other things which you'll need is a hose to drain it.

Make sure your water chemistry is balanced. You should make sure that your pH, Total Alkalinity, and Calcium Hardness are all balanced. Adding a winterizing chemical kit to your water will help keep it blue and clear for the next season. You must drain all the water from your filter equipment.

Lower water level to below skimmers, blow air through the lines using an air compressor and plug them in the pool, and remove all plugs in your equipment.

Use 1 gallon of liquid chlorine per 10000 gallons of pool water. One quart of 60% concentrate algaecide. Pool line antifreeze at least a gallon for each skimmer, main drain, and return line. Also a pool cover and water bags will be needed to cover the pool.

This depends on how much money you want to spend. The more expense way is to hire a contractor to demo the pool and haul off the debri. Then they would bring fill dirt back to the site and start filling the hole to finish grade and apply ground cover.
