Could mean that your filter is dirty. Try cleaning it and make sure to prime the pump afterwards. If this does not work you could have an obstruction blocking the flow of water. If this is happening you can find it and fix it or call a pool cleaning service to come out and check it out.

You can alleviate this pressure by backwashing the filter unit. To do this, shut off the filter, turn your multiport valve to "backwash" then turn system back on and let drain until pressure is normal again. Do the same to switch it back to filter mode.
