What do I do if my dad has a judgment against him, and his home is also in my name?

If the home is only in your name you don't have to do anything. If you both own, he would have to foreclose against the property and give you the chance to defend your interest in the property. He could also file bankruptcy to try and save his portion on the property

If you wanted to sell the property, both of you would have to agree to the sale. If there is a lien on the property, your dad will not be able to sell his portion of the house until he settles the lien. Even though the judgment is not against you, you are effected by the joint ownership.

There are many problems here. If the home is also in your dad's name, and a lien is placed against it, you can't sell the home with a clear title, the lien must be satisfied first. You need legal advice. This really depends on the laws in your state, as to if your property can be seized.

You will need to get an attorney. You will need an attorney to try to work out an agreement with the company to not hold you responsible.
