What do I do if a prong broke off in an outlet?

turn the outlet off at the circuit breaker, test the other plug in that outlet to make sure it doesn't have power,then use insulated pliers to remove the prong. if too deep,you need to remove the outlet and push the prong from the other side.

If is difficult to repair such a broken prong but by welding the broken prong can be repair but it was better to replace the whole unit or to buy a new prong.

If you can pull the prong out with pliers I would simply do that. If not, take the cover off and unscrew the plug and replace it with a new one. You may want to shut the circuit off that it is on so you do not risk the chance of being shocked.
