Transmission leaks are very difficult and impossible to deal with. If you have found the leak near the transmission pan, it will be a bit hard to replace. You would need a diagram for a removal and install bolt pattern. Then drain fluid, remove the pan gasket and install new.

Transmission fluid pan gasket may need replaced. Easy Fix, buy tranmsission gasket, drain fluid, remove pan, clean pan, replace gasket, fill fluid. May also be a seal which requires possible transmission removal to access seal. Rear seal only requires driveshaft and seal replacement. Clean transmission with power washer first to see where it is coming from. Also Possible dipstick seal.

Depending on whats leaking you may need to replace the transmission pan gasket or perhaps a line. Depending on what is leaking will depend on what needs to be done.

You can buy stop leak transmission fluid, or you can go about it the right way. And take it to a mechanic that specializes in imports. I would even consider taking it to the dealership. You don't want a cheap fix on a expensive car. Id try the stop leak first though.

It could be the seal or gasket for the oil pan that has gone bad, or a hole in the oil pan from hitting a rock or object in the road. Or it could be the main seal, which will need to be replaced.

There is products out there to fix a transmission leak yourself. But if you have the money to afford a Mercedes You could probably afford to take it to a transmission mechanic. But an easier way to solve the problem temporarily or maybe permanetley is get a bottle of Stop leak at a walmart or auto parts store.

Start by locating the leak. If it is a seal simply replace it. If it is an actual component, it needs to be repair by a technician or replaced.

To satisfy the transmission leak issue you must first source the location of the leak. A transmission will leak from either the front, rear, pan seals or lines. This will determine whether or not the the transmission needs to be removed from the vehicle. It's always a good idea to replace all the seals at once if one is bad.

Well obviously you need to locate the leak and fix it. It is probably either the front main transmission seal or the pan gasket. You will have to visually inspect to find out.
