What do baby cavities look like?

They look just like cavities in adult teeth. They can show up as brown or black areas on the teeth. If your child has suspicious areas, get them checked out. Decay, even on baby teeth, can be painful and if left untreated could cause infection in the mouth. Never send you baby to bed with a bottle.

Cavities in baby teeth are similar to those in adult teeth. However, for babies, it is more likely to occur between teeth than on top of them.

Baby cavities look just like adult cavities. They are usually brown or black in color and that is the decay on the surface of the tooth that you can see very easily.

same as adult cavities only smaller in size and some what lighter in color, the shape is variabe and the size is dependent of the degee of decay, some would not be visable to the untrained eye and mayrequire the use of Xray to detect,routine dental exams are important to detect these
