The Mirror's editor wrote four editorials over four weeks in September, 1893, upholding the Seventh-Day Adventist belief that the sabbath should be observed on Saturday, not Sunday. The articles came about after the Supreme Court declared the U.S. to be a Christian nation and upheld closing the World's Fair on Sunday in recognition of that fact.
