Rabbits can be sensitive animals.Many things could cause this.Some include heart conditions such as cardiac arrest or pulmonary embolisms.Also,poisoning or infecions.A necroposy is best to find the cause.

Sudden death in rabbits may come from Rabbit Viral Hemorrhagic Disease (VHD) which may show no symptom other than sudden death. Rabbits are very good at hiding they are ill. In the wild ill animals are targets for predators as an easy meal. Other diseases include digestive or respiratory infection.
