What could be wrong if I am spotting everyday during a pregnancy?

I am six weeks pregnant and have been spotting almost every day, it is not a great deal of blood but enough to concern me.

A pregnant woman is prone to discharge more than a non pregnant woman. However everyday seems to be rather excessive. If it is only a small amount then you should be okay but it is enough that you need a pad then you most definitely should let your doctor know to rule out you are not gettin ready to miscarraige.

Many things can lead to spotting in early pregnancy. You should try to get some rest and refrain from any sexual activity til the spotting subsides. It could be nothing more than implantation spotting. Always consult with your doctor when there is any spotting during pregnancy.

Some women spot during implantation of the egg and for a short time after. Some women spot throughout their pregnancy. You should not be concerned if the bleeding is light and because you are at this stage in your pregnancy. If the spotting continues past 8 weeks or increases you should see your doctor.

Frequent spotting can result from increased sensitivity of your cervix during pregnancy, which is nothing to worry about. If it continues, see your doctor so you can feel more secure.
