What could be the matter with my air conditioner unit in my house? It blows cold air and then one hour later there is no cold air.

This could be a very simple problem or one that is much more difficult. My first guess would be a low charge in the system that leads to a freezing of the coils. The would prevent any movement of air at all. It is time for you to call a professional to check your system.

It may happen due to low refrigerant level in the AC. With low refrigerant the AC will cool poorly and waste electricity. The air coming out of the AC should be about 20 degrees F cooler than the room temperature.

It sounds like the condenser on your air conditioner is frozen or broken. Do you see ice on the inner air unit? You can thaw it off and try again later.

I would say to check the filter it could possibly be something wrong with it. Could be many of things if you got questions go on google look up your problem and try to get someone to come in and fix your air conditioning unit if you can't figure it out yourself.

There is probably something wrong with the thermostat. You might want to call in a professional to look into why it is doing that.

I am not sure how air conditioners work but it probably have a dirty filter. If you try to clean it, the air could be colder. If this does not work, maybe something is wrong in it's electrical wirings.

It sounds like the thermostat is going on the air conditioner. You can check that and you should also check to make sure the fan is clean and free from dirt and dust.

maybe its broken...you need a new one ma'am
