Go back to your dentist and get more xrays. The tooth may have had another tiny canal that the dentist may have missed. Another reason why you might still be having pain is that another tooth nearby may also be infected and need treatment. Make sure that it is tooth pain because jaw pain can be from a heart attack.

If it was a deep or infected root you might have some residual pain. Or maybe something got stuck in there or the procedure was incomplete. Call your dentist/endodontist.

Having a root canal can be very painful. They are taking nerves and such from your gums. They could have missed something or you are very sensitive to pain. Your best bet would be to call your doctor and perhaps get pain medication to help you.
