What could be the cause of a srs light being on in a Honda Civic?

My SRS light just came on and I have no idea what that means.

This situation can be caused by a weak battery or a seat belt that is not working properly. The worse case scenario is that the entire SRS system needs replacing.

It means that if you get into a car accident, your airbags may have deploy late, if at all. For some reason, it's kind of expensive to fix. However, ask a mechanic that isn't a dealer, as I think it may be a planned cost.

Well SRS stand for supplemental restraint system. This means that there is some kind of issue with the seat belt or airbags. You should take it to your local Honda dealer to have them fix this.

Something's wrong with the Supplemental Restraint System (airbags) but it is likely a bad Occupant Presence Detection Sensor (butt sensor) or belt-buckle switch. Dealers can fix these cheaply.
