Time spent in the sun is a number one factor in most age spots or mysterious spots. Do you tan a lot or spend a lot of time in the sun with little or no SPF? Areas like the knees, face, and hands are susceptible to spots from skin damage. You might try to get them checked by a dermatologist.

It can be because of insufficient nutrition. do you have the habit of sitting on your knees? too much pressure can also cause this kind problems. It can also be due to dead cells accumulation on that area. Take oil massage daily on your knees. Keep some hot bag daily.

Kneeling a lot can cause a thickening of the skin on your knees. The tougher skin may appear darker than surrounding tissue.

It could be genetic or signs of some skin problem such as dry skin or splotches. However, it's best to get checked with a dermatologist.

Usually if you are in the habit of leaning on or sitting on your knees , this posture can put pressure on your skin ad skin cells will look darker then your normal skin tone. Best remedy for this is to be cautions what habit of yours might be causing them , avoid sun exposure and exfoliate your skin.
