Indigestion is caused by eating foods which increase the production of stomach acid, such as tomatoes, red meat, and foods containing large amounts of spices.

Eating a heavy meal or eating fried, greasy and fatty foods can cause it. Instead of eating three larger meals, try eating four smaller meals. Don't eat too fast either. If you have it often, you may have gallstones, so get it checked out by a doctor.

Acid building up in the stomach and backing upwards into the throat. Antacids as well as a simple addition of a small amount of parsley during each meal will greatly reduce indigestion

Indigestion is caused by acid reflux from the stomach. The best way to prevent it are behavioral changes (e.g, eating less, sleeping with the head of bed elevated, etc.).

The main cause of indigestion is the food and drink that you put into your body. Indigestion is the body's way of letting you know that what you are consuming is not good for you. Monitor your food and fluid intake and note down when the indigestion is more severe.

Eating too fast and/or too much can cause this. Certain foods can cause this. Acid reflux or an ulcer could cause this problem.
