What cat foods are okay for ferrets to eat?

Yes, they're fine. Most ferrets only live 8 years and my last ferret lived to 9 off of nothing but cat food. Ferret food is preferred by most ferret owners just because its more focused on ferret nutritional needs, but cat foods in the dry form works just as well.

It is advised that a ferret eats food made for a ferret. But some people feed their pets cat food. If you do, make sure it is a high quality.

Ferrets can eat crunchy kitten food, but not the soft kind. The food should be brown in color and have at least 30 percent protein.
