Yasmin is a type of oral contraceptive, or birth control pill. The hormones in it help prevent pregnancy. It is taken every day at the same time. It works by preventing ovulation and by changing cervical mucus so it is no longer fertile. It is highly effective at preventing pregnancy when used accurately.

Yasmin is a type of birth control pill that prevents the used from having period every month. I believe that women on Yasmin have a period every 3 months. The makers of the drug tout its convenience and safety as positives to taking a pill that limits a woman's monthly period. Some users complain that the side effects are negative.

Like any birth control pill, it affects different women differently. Some people love it. I found that it killed my sex drive. It is often advertised for helping with acne control, which I found to be true.

I tried Yasmin for a few months and didn't really like it. I didn't have any side effects but just felt safer with my normal pill,Tri-cyclin.

Yasmin, known as drospirenone, is a synthetic analog of progesterone meant to mitigate some of the side effects of standard birth control pills. Some of the other effects include less water retention and less breast tenderness, and better skin (less acne).

The birth control pill has been used by many for its purpose. And a lot has been observed on its side effects which are more on the not so good outcomes. Some have reported to have rashes, acne, enlargement of breasts, irritable, lessened sex drive and irregular periods without it. As observed, it has different side effects on women.
