What can you tell me about wiring into an existing gfc outlet?

You need to know that if you tap off before the GFC you wont be adding to the GFC. If you tap off after the breaker you will be limiting the amps of the new outlet.

In your outlet box you should see 3 wires. White, Black and generally Green or straight copper. The green wire (or copper) is the earth ground and goes to the earth connection on the GFCI. The white goes to the gold connection. The black to the silver connection
