Veneers can not be whitened. There is a possibility that a whitening effect can occur if the back of the tooth is whitened because veneers are translucent.

It is a permanent placement of either porcelain or ceramic(composite resin) thin plates over the face of your teeth. They are used to correct chipped, gapped, or stained teeth.

Veneers is usually a term used for restorative dentistry, not whitening or bleaching your teeth. It is a more traumatic treatment. If you want to whiten your teeth, you should first consider bleaching them, using a professional home treatment (ask your dentist) or an office bleach, before considering getting veneers.
