What can you tell me about weightlifting for skinny people?

Be careful to choose weights that are light enough for you to handle easily when you are first starting out. If you try to bulk up quickly by choosing heavy weights to start with, you will only end up hurting yourself. It takes time to build up muscle - do not rush it.

Start out slow and work up to a desired weight. It is important that you do this so you do not injure yourself. Start with light weights, eat lots of protein also to help build muscle. Eggs and chicken are ideal. There are also liquid preparations available also.
