The proper name is "Bungo" not "Bongo." These straights separate the Japanese islands of Kyushu and Shikoku. The Bungo straights connect the Pacific Ocean to the Seto Inland Sea. It is the location of the famous film, "Run Silent, Run Deep," a submarine film.

I think the proper name is Bungo straits or Bungo Channel and not Bongo Straits. These straights separate the Japanese islands of Kyushu and Shikoku. They connect the {acific ocean and the Seto Island Sea. I believe the first time I heard about them was in the movie Run Silent Run Deep.

The Bongo Straits, located in the country of Japan, separates the Japanese islands of Kyūshū and Shikoku. It connects the Pacific Ocean and Seto Inland Sea. The narrowest part of this channel is the Hōyo Strait. The Bongo Straits actually has a proper name. It is also known as the Bungo Straits.

The Bungo Straits (also known as the Bungo Channel) is a path of water separating the islands of Kyushu and Shikoku in Japan. It allows the Pacific ocean to mix with the Seto Inland seas and allows cargo ships to enter that same inland sea. It was featured in the 1958 World War II submarine film Run Silent, Run Deep.
