It evolved from the English childhood games of shuttlecock and battledore. It did not use to be played with a net like it is today. It used to be called poona.

They say that this sport was created way back in the 1700's by men in the British Military. Shortly after that rules and regulations were created for the game. Since then it has been a sport dominated by European Nations.

BADMINTON was invented long ago. the game came from a childs game. the international badminton federation decided the game as a international competation. and .. the game will be played by a 2 or 4 players. it will be played by the players both indoor and outdoor games.Badminton has a rich history and its future looks even brighte.
