Damage to free nerve endings secondary to trauma/surgical intervention can cause constant pain and irritation. Use of common analgesics like tramadol or diclofenac will only provide brief and limited pain-relief. More effective will be a drug blocking nerve conduction and activity like GABAPENTIN available as oral formulation. Central neurological blocking agents like BACLOFEN may too prove to be useful.

There is not too much you can do for nerve pain damage. Talk to your doctor about getting some pain management therapy and see if that will help you out some. If not then you should try to get some medicine or a prescription to help with the pain management.

Nerve damage can be very painful and standard pain medications are not always effective. Your doctor can prescribe medicine that is specifically designed to treat nerve pain.
