Your should definately talk to your vet before you give our dog anything. Usually your vet would prescribe a painkiller and muscle relaxer for dogs in most cases. But, most of the time childerens tylenol can be given in a low does to help with the pain. I would not suggest giving your dog anything but chiderens painkillers.

If you love and care for your dogs well being and overall health this is something you should be talking to your vet about. Make an appointment and let them diagnose whats best to help those inflmaed muscles.

If the problem is persistent, of course, visit your vet. If it's due to "too much fun", try applying ice to the area as long as he will allow you to, no more than ten minutes, every half hour or so. Fish oil, is an excellent joint lubricant, as well as glucosamine/chondroitin. Check with your vet for dosage.

It is usually all right to give your dog an aspirin. Check with the Vet first. Aspirin can be hard on the stomach so don't give your dog more than one a day unless the Vet advises otherwise.
