After having your wisdom teeth extraction you can expect to have some oozing for the first few hours. Your gums will be swollen and tender for a few days. Even if you do not experience much pain it is a good idea to take ibuprofen to reduce swelling.

After the extraction, there will be a hole in your gums where the tooth was. You will have stiches, and you will need to carefully tend to the area.
