Try to deal with it for now. The puppy will keep trying to play with the older dog, when the dog won't play she'll soon stop bothering the older dog.

There are many ways to go about introducing your new puppy into the house with an older dog. Many dog experts recommend taking the introduction slowly. If you notice your older dog getting aggressive you have to separate the two dogs and punish the older dog. Always reward the older dog when it is nice to the puppy.

Well eventually the older dog should just get used to the puppy. It might take a long time but your older dog will get used to him. Now if the older dog is hurting the little dog because he doesn't like him then you'll just have to keep them separated or get rid of one.

You need to give the old dog time to get used to the puppy. Dogs are terriorial and the old dog will see the puppy as taking away your affection and interest. Give them small and then increasing time allotments together supervised and eventually the older dog will warm to the puppy.

There really isn't anything you can do, but the puppy will put more life back into the older dog, and possiably make it live longer.

This is a difficult problem as your older dog has become accustomed to his way of life. It is important to closely monitor their interactions.
