What can I do if my orthodontist did a horrible job?

Go to another orthodontist and see what they say in regard to the problem and if the it was the fault of the other guy. If it was then you can contact a lawyer to see what options are available to you at that point but make sure you tell the guy how bad the job was.

You can sue, but your best bet is to never go back to that orthodontist and go to a better one who can fix what was done.

It depends on what the issue is. Sueing is an option if there was some sort of mal-practice involved. You may want to contact the dental office and see if they are willing to fix the problem if it is something that has persisted or is causing you any discomfort or pain.
