What can I do for my beagle that has a broken leg?

You should immediately take your pet beagle to a veterinary hospital, a broken leg is a very serious injury that can be complicated to treat, and if handled wrongly could harm your pet even worse. Do not try and treat it yourself, or you may injure it worse and it would be cruel to attempt this.

First thing would be take it to the vet and get it checked out. If its not requiring surgery you can bandage it and maybe put a splint on it and try to keep the dog off of that leg, and give the dog a pain medicine called rimadyl for the pain.

It's better that you take him to a doctor and give a immediate treatment. If the treatment is not successful then you have to keep him as pet and still feed him but don't throw him away.
