There are over the counter remedies for gas in infants. Ovol is one of them. Consult your Veterinarian to see if this is an option for your pet. If it is they will give you the dosage.

Warm (not hot) compresses will help reduce the pain. A small amount of gas-x for babies would be ok (one half the recommended amount for a child of equal weight).

It is not normal for puppies to have gas pains. The puppy could have parasites, a food allergy, a partial blockage or other internal medical problems causing the pain. The only safe way to rule out what is causing the discomfort is a visit to your veterinarian for an examination.

Dogs can take simethicone, which is the active ingredient in Gas-X and similar medications. You will have to ask a veterinarian for the proper dose for your particular dog.
