First, take our contacts if you wear them. Take a break from them until the scratch heals. Then, use eye drops, such as red eyes, to wash it out. Biggest thing though, don't rub it! Just blink a lot.

A simple scratch on the white portion of the eye is normally best treated with frequent use of artificial tears and time. The human eye is one of the fastest healing items on the body. If the scratch is on the cornea several prescription medications should be considered in order to ward off potential infection

When you first scratch your eye you want to flush it out quickly to be sure there is not any debris left behind. Next you want to seek a doctors advise with regards to infection and to let him/her look into the eye to be sure of no debris. Cool wash cloth and keep the eye closed for comfort.
