What can I do about the automotive distributor leaking oil?

First and formost determine if the automotive distributor is the source of the leaking oil. Check if its a SEAP or a LEAK. If you vehical is driping oil when its parked, you must change the distributor or the gasket which holds the unit, go to a mechanic.

If the distributor is leaking oil you need a new one. If the gasket around it is leaking then all you need to do is replace it.

Distributors have two types of O-rings. Inner shaft seal the shaft to the stem. Stem seals it to the engine block. Remove/dissasemble the distributor and replace all.

The leaking oil should be stored in container. And it should be kept always away from heat and fire. It can be used as soothing agent in crank wheels. It should be in clean dry place.
