How old is she? It could be that she is getting old and lazy just like us silly humans do? It could also be a sign that she is not feeling good for some reason and you might want to take her to the vet. Or, just find a game she likes to play and make it fun!

Atleast go for a walk, if she does not not exercise. Do not keep your dod tied always. Go for high fibre rich diet. Try Royal canine obesity food.

The most important part of a dog's weight control is their diet. Most people overfeed their dogs without knowing. You should speak to your vet to see just how much food your dog should eat and refrain from feeding her table food. Once she begins to lose weight she may become more active. Remember to reward her when she cooperates.

A good idea is to do things she enjoys. You could play a game of tug o war, or fetch, or you could get low fat treats and play hide and seek. Just hide the treats and have her find them. Some pets also love to play with laser lights. That is just the start to getting her moving!

You can switch to a lower calorie weight matainance dog food to start with. And take walks. Only you can help your dog lose weight, barring some medical issue.
