Place them in separate cages. Gerbils of the same gender (IE: two boys or two girls) are known to fight, and if you have gerbils of different genders (a boy and a girl) you are going to have baby gerbils. You need to buy two cages to prevent either of these scenarios.

The only possible thing i can think of to do with your gerbils to get them to stop fighting is to buy them separate cages. I am assuming of course you only have two gerbils.

Once Gerbils start fighting they will often fight until death. To know for sure if they are fighting make sure you see signs of scratches on the head, tail, or rump of the animal. If they have drawn blood then you need to separate them.

Personally, if I ever encounter any fighting between animals, I try to separate them. Try to buy another cage or put a divider inside the cage to separate the two.

If they are of the same gender they will probably be fighting to see about protecting their 'territory' separate them for a week and then see how they get along then.
