What can cause pain under my right breast area?

It seems like you may have either a pulled cardiac muscle if it's a surafce irritation. If the pain feels deeper, it can be an irritated alveoli- the small sacs in the lungs that draw in and process the air you breath. If the pain perssists more than two weeks, talk to your doctor.

most common cause can be a simple myalgia. it can also be caused by acid peptic disorder,simple gastritis, bronchitis, carcinoma breast,mediastinitis, diaphragmatic diseases,pleurisy,abscess in the inframammary region, some lymphadenopathy, liver abscess,hydatid disease,cholangitis,bile duct stone, galactorrhoea and acute cholecystitis. In rare cases pancreatitis can also result in pain in this region

There are a few organs that can be found in that area, namely the liver, the ascending and transverse colon, as well as a portion of the pancrease in the abdomen. In the pleural cavity, the lungs and heart are located, any of which can be affected.

This could be a sign of gall bladder. Contact your physician and have test done. Sometimes the pain goes into the back area.
