Bone bumps can be caused by tooth extractions. They can also be caused by an appliance (denture, braces) rubbing against the side of your mouth.

it could be torus palatinus or bony enlargement. It is unknown exactly what causes them but asians seem to have them more than other races. It is also known that it could be genetics and other local stresses that may cause it. It shouldnt hurt or cause any pain whatsoever.
